REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICE SUNDAY 13TH NOVEMBER 2016
November is the month in which we pause to remember those who served and died in great numbers during the First and Second World Wars and in more recent conflicts.
A service of remembrance was held in Hockley on Sunday 13th November 2016. Representatives from local associations, groups and members of the community were welcomed. This was followed by a parade led by the Royal British Legion along Southend Road to Hockley British Legion to join their service.

The Hockley & Hawkwell Services
The community gathered together to honour the fallen at the War Memorial in Southend Road on Sunday afternoon. Following a service, conducted by The Rev Ken Havey Parish Priest from St Peter & Pauls Church, the largest parade seen to date marched along Southend Road, led by the Legion Standard Bearer, where the people of Hockley joined with those from Hawkwell for a service held at the Royal British Legion Centre. Thank you for your support.
